Zach Sell

Thanksgiving tradition at the Shapiro family -- we each write what we are thankful for (without our name attached) and put it in a bowl. Then when Thanksgiving dinner is done we go around the room and each read a note from the bowl and everyone tries to guess who wrote what. The note below was written by my 12 year old cousin Zach Sell. I love it.

"I am thankful for many things in life, but only the most important ones I will talk about. I am thankful for things like all family, sports, electronics, school, and a lot more. To begin, I am thankful for my family because they give me everything I need to live: food, drinks, and shelter. Next, I am thankful for sports because they let me exercise and move around like when I play basketball or baseball. In addition, I am thankful for electronics because they give me some entertainment in my life. For example I sometimes go over to my friend’s houses and play video games or watch TV. Furthermore, I am thankful for school and the good education that I have because if I want to be successful in life, I must have a good education. Lastly, I am thankful for something I said earlier, which is food, drinks, and shelter, because the most important pieces of living a healthy life are having food, water, and shelter. Fortunately, I normally love to eat food and drink drinks. Those are just some of the things that I am thankful for."
